Hotel Moderno is located in the quiet pedestrian area of the historic center of Stresa, just behind the church overlooking the parking lot near the pier. To reach us easily, we therefore recommend entering Piazza Marconi as a destination on the navigator, in order to bypass the pedestrian area and reach the church overlooking the main street S.S. 33.
Before searching a parking lot, stop your car by the church on the corner of Via Principessa Margherita, at the edge of the pedestrian area, as shown in the image. The hotel cannot be reached by car but from here you have the shortest walking distance to the hotel entrance: you will carry your luggage for 50 meters only!
The excellent location in the pedestrian area of the historic center precludes the possibility of private parking. However you will find several solutions to leave your car, not far from the hotel, both in free and metered parking lots, such as the main parking square at Piazza Marconi as you see in this image. At the reception you will be directed and you may also purchase practical “scratch and park” coupon valid 24 hours, at the special parking rate reserved to hotel guests only.
Stresa is the pearl of Lake Maggiore, the most beautiful place, but also the most convenient to easily reach all places of interest in the Lake Maggiore area. For trekking and cycling lovers there is no shortage of mountain hiking trails and mountain bike routes in the surrounding area.
